Basic Admin Essentials // Run A List through a button click

Hey, everyone! I was wondering, if there was a way to make a list appear by clicking a button that is inside of the ‘Essentials Client’ UI in the BAE components folder.

I know this is doable with the command bar but i can’t get this to work with a list.

This is the code for the command bar UI. (this is in the Essentials Code)

local function cb()
	Console()
end

baseClip:WaitForChild("ConsoleButton").MouseButton1Click:Connect(function()
	if clientConfig.Key and clientConfig.Permission and clientConfig.Permission >= 1 then
		Console()
	end
end)

Any help thanks!

I don’t think that the essentials code supports lists, im not sure.

It does, look at how it handles the “List” type on client events.

Do you mean like a plugin list? EG: :Menu and it brings up multi-line items

No,

That is what I meant.

Yes, it is entierly possible.
In the bae client it has this line of code

Display("List",Data)

If you replace it with formatted data you can display a list!

Okay, but how do I format it? The click to open command bar is formatted like this:

local function cb()
	Console()
end

baseClip:WaitForChild("ConsoleButton").MouseButton1Click:Connect(function()
	if clientConfig.Key and clientConfig.Permission and clientConfig.Permission >= 1 then
		Console()
	end
end)

But im honestly not sure how to format this one.

Im not sure with the local function bit as there is not a List function in the Essentials code.

Or is there a way for it to be opened in the MainModule?

I have also just tried this, and it doesn’t work. However nothing is in the debug logs.

local function mb()
	Display('List', 'Menu', 'Content')
end
baseClip:WaitForChild("MenuButton").MouseButton1Click:Connect(function()
end)

This is all in Essentials Code.

So, 2 problems, you need a propperly formatted list, and you also need to call the mb function

The list that I have used is what I plan on using. I tried calling the mb function but it didn’t work so I removed it and tried.

Ah, I see what iv’e done let me fix it real quick.

Formatted it right now, just calling the ‘mb()’ isn’t working right.
