How to get a custom URL for a webpage

Hello, Cookie Tech!

So today, I wanted to start designing some websites for myself to keep track of data, and I wanted it to have a custom URL so me and my staff can access it!

But, how would I do this? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
@ScriptedOreo

You could get a domain from some of these guys (in the UK):
Ionos
Google Domains
names.co.uk
GoDaddy

I find Google Domains good as it comes with SSL and anti ddos included.

@David

I don’t understand, do you mean by a page where you and staff can only access it?

You could get a domain, make a password-protected page for your staff.

I await your reply,
@David

I want it so I can publish the website as a custom URL so it has a perm link and not a link from ym desktop after I have saved the HTML file,

Ok, here are a few domain providers if you want them.

Ionos
Google Domains
names.co.uk
GoDaddy

They have good prices and some come with email included! (Like Ionos)

Thanks for the help, appreciate it!

I recommend https://namecheap.com

You can get URLS for cheap. I got mine for $3/year

Thanks for the reply! I’ll give it a try!

I had to pay £15 extra just to add an email :skull:

You mean to create an email on namecheap?

No, to add the email plug-in and then I could set up the email if I bought it.

I tried to create a custom email for my gmail account, I think it was like £4.99.

I would recommend GoDaddy and Google Domains, as you said here. They’re not very hard to use in my opinion.

I personally use google domains for myself and a few businesses where I manage their tech, I’ve never run into any problems.

I did want something that was free, but I guess no where does free as its like a life long domain until you delete it.
