Minecraft 1.18 | Release Date Confirmed!

Hi everyone!

In case you didn’t know, today Mojang confirmed the release date of Minecraft 1.18 (Caves & Cliffs II)

Official article:
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/caves---cliffs-update-part-ii-coming

I am so hyped for this, it has been a long time now, and at last 1.18 is on it’s way!

What are your opinions on this? Are you excited? Why or why not, what could be improved based on what you saw in the past, whether it’s from screenshots to pre-releases/bedrock betas? Let me know below!

Features sadly removed from this update:

  • Goat Horn
  • Bundle
  • Archeology
  • Deep Dark & Warden (coming in 1.19)

They keep delaying stuff aren’t they?

Not too long to go now, 12 days!

Yeah, but the delay of the Deep Dark & Warden was totally worth it. Instead of a deepslate tunnel being the Warden’s home, they’re turning it into a whole underground city.

I wish archeology was coming in 1.18 or at least 1.19 though … :frowning:

Disappointing, do you think Minecraft will die out due to being way to simple, and people getting bored of it? I swear everyone goes through a period were they like Minecraft, and then after a bit they don’t play it at all.

I think Mojang answered that in a Q&A, they’re aiming for realistic gameplay, yet keeping the feel of Minecraft. I don’t think Minecraft will die out any time soon, and if it does, it will probably be 30-40 years from now, more or less maybe.

If it’s about indivisuals, it varies. Most people didn’t quit the game though, such as CaptainSparklez

That’s a big, expectancy, like no game has ever had something like that.
