Northdrift County - Investor Position [Open]

Greetings, everyone!

I’m OH20_rbLX, creator of upcoming realistic roleplay game Northdrift County: Extreme Roleplay. Today, I am here to inform you about the investor role that has now been opened up for anyone to apply!

About Game
Northdrift County: Extreme Roleplay is a Roblox roleplaying game created mid-2021 and has ever since been going underway in game development. I vision this game as a success and a new reality and future for roleplay games on the Roblox platform.

About Position
As we get closer to the release, we are in need of a generous investor who is willing to invest into our game, preferrably between 100k Robux - 500k Robux. We can negotiate the investment amount.

We especially need these investments, because we already have a developer team ready, a great plan, the required skills, but our budget is our only limit that we really need to expand on, if we want to continue paying our modelers, builders, and even for opening up new roles for applying in!

Position Requirements

  • Our applicant(s) acknowledge our investment terms and has a strong knowledge base of making smart decisions as well as investing knowledge.

  • Our applicant(s) are able to be regularly be active, meaning you should be available whenever we may need you.

  • Our applicant(s) is respectful towards members and staff, and can help advise us in times of need when necessary.

  • Very fluent in English for ease of communication via text. We don’t require you to know a certain form of English, as there isn’t a whole lot of difference between American English, British English, or Canadian English (which is a mix of both English forms).

Position Terms
Our applicants must agree to the following terms before applying, as it is for the sake of our trust;

  • By applying for this position, you accept and acknowledge that you are working with us, InfiniteX Studios, as an investor for long-term until we can make our own profit, currently we’re looking at a few months. However, it is likely that we’ll only need you to invest into around 2 games befofore we start generating our own profit in a stabilized manner.

  • You acknowledge that we may terminate your position for any reason, and that we may request investments when we need funds for our game(s).

  • You acknowledge that you will not leak any game content as our projects may be confidential to the Roblox community until the official release.

Compensation
Unlike other Roblox development jobs, the way the compensation will work for the investment position will work a bit differently. Please read how it works below!

Compensation Rates

  • Below 100k Robux = (DM to negotiate revenue rate)
  • ~ 100k Robux = ~ 20% revenue per month for 1 year.
  • ~ 200k Robux = ~ 25% revenue per month for 1 year.
  • ~ 300k Robux = ~ 30% revenue per month for 1.5 years
  • ~ 400k Robux = ~ 35% revenue per month for 1.5 years
  • ~ 500k Robux = ~ 40% revenue per month for 1.5 years
  • Above 100k Robux = (DM to negotiate revenue rate)

As you can see, the revenue you will recieve from the game depends on how much you invest initially. We can agree on some extra terms through private messaging me on the Cookie Forums (@OH20_rbLX) — meaning that we could discuss other ways you would like compensation to work and/or how much your percentage rate will be if you wish to invest less/more than 100k Robux into our game(s).

How do you guarantee a return on investment?

You’d need to be in our main group to recieve monthly revenue (once we start generating it, of course). We could create some sort of “invester contract” and keep that as a reference, too.

Adding on to this; if we have 2 investors, and let’s say you wanted to invest 200k Robux, you could both split the investment so that you will only have to invest 100k Robux at the time, same goes with the other investor.

Im intrested but i dont really know how i feel about this:

If i were to invest in your group I need some stability

That is a lot of money and very little revenue.

Especially saying the game might not take off.

I’m not really sure what you mean by ‘stability,’ could you elaborate on that?

Knowing that I could be terminated for any reason makes me feel (as an investor) that I might be taken advantage of just for the money

The revenue amount could be negotiated, although now that I think of it, you probably have a valid point about the revenue.

We have our development team ready, in my point of view it’s only finance that’s stopping us from hiring more people and opening up more positions, such as scripting or animating.

Perhaps this could include getting back your investment amount if terminated for whatever reason, if someone wanted to make that request when applying (which is allowed). Again, I’m quite flexible on the compensation and addtional terms.

I understand however I feel like you’re asking for a lot of money. And again, very little stability.

I see. Let’s say you were the one making this post; what would you do different?

It’s not about the post. I’m talking about your game. There is little stability and the chances of it going big are little from what I’ve seen so far

I know this wasn’t directed at me, but I have a few ideas.

The first one is to allow potential investors into the game for a day before they choose, you could make them sign an NDA

The next one, is to specify what type of developers you need, which specific developers, their price and the work they’d do.

The only issue there is that an NDA is legally binding, I don’t really want this to go into the legal-related things.

But, however, I will consider your suggestions. :+1:

Totally get it, do what works for you.

I find that NDA’s work well, but I get if you don’t want to enter legal territory.

Post Update

Based on everyone’s great feedback so far, I’ve decided to increase the compensation rates. I will be considering to use the rest of the feedback.

That’s a huge improvement. Good luck!

You need to be the age of majority (commonly 18+) in north America and most parts of Europe to sign an NDA officially. What I mean by that is this: Anyone can sign a NDA but the NDA is not enforceable as " The minor is considered to not be of sufficient legal capacity to understand what they’re signing."

Are the people you hire over the age of majority? Because there can be a problem for you if they’re not

Only individuals who are 18+ can legally sign a contract.
