As you might have realised, Roblox has seen a surge in these so-called “Simulators” in the past couple of years.
The name seems to suggest these games are designed to allow a player to experience realistic events in the “Roblox Meta”, however, this could not be further from the truth.
These “Simulators” are made for the sole purpose of addicting a player into a repetitive loop of actions, using one of the laziest ways to gain a fan base. This abuses the human instinct of the want for power, easily bringing in many players hungry for the might.
All in all, major profit with minimal effort.
But that’s just me, I wanna hear your thoughts on this matter.
I agree with this, younger me easily managed to get sucked into the paradox of simulator games, they’ve totally re-invented the word.
Hey there welcome to the forums!
I agree with you somewhat. However the reason they are addictive to some people is because they are good and well made. I agree that they are mostly quick cash grab jobs by developers
And I couldn’t agree with this more:
However the people that are behind it are certainly skilled. And that brings up another point.
The way tycoons/simulators are being made NOW are different/better in my opinion. Just take a look at this game.
However at the end of the day it’s not really something that can change. Developers are always looking for quick cash (exept the good ones) and what can we do other then call them out for it.
I remember the days of speed simulator. Did the exact same thing.
Of course, there are some simulators/tycoons that do a great job at engaging the player.
Okay, this has to be the best first post I’ve seen on the forums before. Amazing job, and welcome!
I totally agree with you, this statement stood out to me though:
If I could, I’d totally give you a staff loved badge
Thanks bro, means quite a bit
WELCOME!!! @cookie give him new user of the month. this is the best post of someone that joined 1 hour ago. also, i more than 100% agree. simulators are clicking, then when ur done, ur done.
Thanks so much, didnt expect this post to do so well
can’t you give any badge?
Yeh, but then it’s unfair.
sir did you read the post
I believe the badge is automated so I dont think cookie can choose unfortunately
Welcome to Cookie Tech, pleasure to have you here!
I have to agree with you, simulators are just repeated in loops, they can get pretty boring very quickly compared to other game genres. It’s not the best way to get a large player base either, too, since there are several of duplicates of some simulators (such as clicker simulator, I can’t tell you how many of those exist …)
