Right now the whole world is literally on fire as almost everything is disrupted by the new cloudstrike global update. This update is causing lot’s of things to break, such as:
Yeah, this has pretty much affected everything. My schools biometric and most of our IT systems are down because of this, and one of my family members flights have been delayed!
As you said, this is going vary haywire, and lets hope they fix this soon before this palaver gets worse!
Also, I know this is coming from a place that want to help, but switching your device on and off 15 times dose not seem to be practical, or even helpful.
(Read more about this outage on a BBC Thread, which can be found here.)
Yea, I heard many people referring to this as the “biggest IT failure” … it definitely took the world by surprise and effectively put a halt to everything.
The recovery is still ongoing, too … for example if you were to look at FlightRadar24 right now, we can still see that many major airports are still struggling with landings and take-offs.
We also saw many banks, hospitals, and industries having to pause because of IT outage … in my opinion this was especially bad for hospitals and airports.
Thankfully this wasn’t a breach or security incident (such as Log4j, if anyone still remembers that) … just a bug on CrowdStrike’s end in their Falcon Sensor software.
