Roblox’s dedicated font is now Builder, as you may or may not know Gotham & Arial have been deprecated by Roblox and are now longer accessible inside of Roblox.
Not only has Roblox altered the font but they’ve made some major design changes to the website, I think the new Roblox font is either used awfully or looks awful.
As you can see in this image the font looks extremely compact and in my opinion, it looks extremely buggy and unfinished, almost looking as if the website hasn’t finished loading.
In addition to this the dev forum has now merged into the creator hub, which is completely fine I suppose:
Back to the font; I believe it’s really hard to read and should not have been released in this state, either it’s unfinished, or just awful, but I hope Roblox makes some major changes to make this font more pleasurable to look at.
It also wouldn’t hurt to mention that the license on this font is quite strict.
Please let me know what your opinions on the “Builder font” are.
Agreed, I’ve also though of Roblox as a “chunky” website, having this thin badly spaced & weighted font makes roblox feel out of theme, the font isn’t the problem: It’s the spacing and the weight.
I agree, the new Roblox font should have had more font weight and definitely more spacing. In my opinion it’s just not fitting in with the modern Roblox UI, Gotham was probably a better fit.
I like the font - but the layout is terrible. What if we could customize the layout ourselves in the Roblox settings? This would be really unique and clever in my opinion.
I love the new font! I think it’s going to be like the Discord font change, people hate it then they forget about the change. I also think most people are just used to the old font. Overall, a nice change for Roblox, in my opinion.
