Opinions on windows 11?

So I got windows 11… it’s really nice. It has smoother transitions and is more rounded, I would definitely recommend it.

I’ve heard that there’s a lot of bloatware though…

I think it’s fine.

Alongside 8k we’re probably getting a new Apple products in the next year, people are relying on technology a lot, even the government of my country is considering virtual drivers licenses, etc.

Windows 11 is a massive upgrade from Windows 10, I must say.

This is so much more better designed from what Windows 10 was, and I think they have included more features in this new software compared to all their old softwares. I do intend to get Windows 11 when I get a new PC, but I’ll be waiting a while!

I’m personally going to stay on windows 10 until it’s time to change, 2025 is still a while away.

I just got Windows 11 and it’s amazing, trust me.

The new design feels good and fresh.

It’s just the 35+ bloatware apps that show in the start menu that bug me.

I also find out scripting in Roblox Studio was faster than Windows 10.

Overall, it’s okay, they could have made it better, but for the first few months of it it’s fine.

Oh, forgot to mention, the OOBE (out of box experience, basically the setup for the first time) required that you have a Microsoft account, which sucks but at least i can get my passwords back )

Overall Rating: 8.75/10 (due to bloatware and Microsoft Account requirement)

Would recommend?: :yellow_circle: To some degree, due to the fact that not everyone has the time to setup an account, it also required to have a phone number when you log into certain services.

I was thinking that, but is any other processers still being updated? Such as Windows 7, and Windows 8?

Windows 7 and 8 was discontinued, only certain companies had licenses to get updates until Jan. 2022.

Windows 8.1, on the other hand is still continuing and getting updates.

That good then! I was thinking about moving back to Windows 8 for no reason actually, lol. It seemed a bit better for the start menu, but otherwise, nothing else would make me go back to the old times.

I might as well purchase a new Windows 11 PC once it’s 2025. :man_shrugging:

I see. I could revert but it seems too good for me to revert back to Windows 10! But I understand your choice.

Many people have been going out and buying new PC’s, laptops, Desktops because they can’t update to Windows 11. However, it is best to stick with Windows 10 until it is unsupported and stops being updated!

There’s also a problem with waiting, too. PCs and desktops are getting quite expensive, if you look back at 2018 most were prices around $1000 USD and now they’re getting very close to $2000 USD.

I have all the hardware, it’s just that I want to make sure all my apps are supported on windows 11 to before I make the move.

With Currys (my local tech store), I can buy a small PC for 8GB RAM, and 1T of Storage, which costs just around £500. I think that’s a good offer within Currys.

Inflammation, more expensive hardware, environmental issues. I don’t know if you can compare nowadays hardware to 2018, I know 2018 felt like yesterday, but 4 years later tech has gone much further, more advanced tech requiring more skill to assemble & prices rising.

This may sound like a good deal, but then you need to look into the cooling, processor gpu & all of the other factors that make a computer a “good” computer.

There is that. Within the UK and all our providers, we may find that Dell/Alienware have the best PC’s at the moment.
