We all remember the incident where Pet Sim X was selling real life items with Roblox Codes on them to get pets inside of the game and it got really out of hands. Well we have a similar issue and it’s coming today.

Pet Sim X is currently one of the biggest roblox games.
I don’t know how many will be bought and how much they will produce, also to make these it will cost very very little. So I don’t know why they are charging so much.
They knew that last time all the people bought the plushies for the in game code. They’re trying it again to see if they can make more money.
When they did this last time for $65 that was still a lot for people, I don’t know where to go with this & I would love to hear your opinion
I’m just going to say it, BIG Games is a money grinder. They don’t seem to even care they’re breaking the rules, and they’re the most greediest group I’ve ever seen on Roblox.
And this new plush supports this point. $349.99 USD, are you serious? That’s $470.70 CAD where I am and that is insane, for a plush. You can purchase an iPhone SE with that much cash here in Canada, maybe even a low-end PC.
BIG Games is making terrible choices. And this is a complete waste of money.
Don’t get me wrong this price is still outrageous for a plushie but honestly its not that big-a-deal.
At the end of the day no parent in their right mind would buy this for their child and even if they did why is it such a big deal. I get that the prices are up but everyone’s just making a big deal for no reason, if you don’t like the plushie then don’t buy it but I dont see the point of calling big games out for this everywhere when it doesn’t do anything. Yes calling them out made them lower the prices but it’s honestly not that big of a deal.
I found that many people on youtube just started bloodsucking on this news and it was just an excuse for them to make 5 minute long rants about the price.
It’s not like they’re taking something away from the average non pay-to-win user and locking it behind a paywall. So that’s why I don’t think it’s really a big deal.
Everyone is calling BIG Games out for one reason, and that is they’re financially exploiting players through their plushies (or at least trying to). Yes, you have a good point that people don’t need to buy it if they don’t want to. Yes, calling out BIG Games brings attention to the fact that their products are insanely overpriced. By no doubt do I disagree with your valid points.
But at the end of the day, it just doesn’t feel right at all … a Roblox game development group, charging hundreds of real cash for a mere plushie. We all know BIG Games is probably the richest group out there. So why are they charging so much for plushies if they’re already insanely rich? It’s not that players are jealous of BIG Games, they simply want to point out the poor marketing decision that they’re making and how it’s ruining the platform in a vaiety of ways.
Again, I completely agree with your valid points, this is just my sample of why I think most players and YouTubers make a big deal out of it.
They might as well sell a game code off sight, we also have to remember that these players are buying of an off-site platform to get things inside of a Roblox game & last time I checked that’s against ToS.
But nothing has happened to their game - not to mention that this was raised a long time ago and nothing happened (with the last sale).
Not to criticise the art of the plushy and I’m not sure how hard plushies like this are to create, but for me a plushie that’s just bright red isn’t worth much.
