Hi! I will today talk about Tickets, known as TIX.
What is “TIX”???
Tickets, known as Tix wasa form of currency. Tix was earned by players by visiting the site daily, by players at their games and by inviting people to the web.
How could you earn Tix?
There was many ways of earning Tix!
- Login bonus: Users earned 10 tickets each day they connected into roblox.
- "Ambassador program": Users earned 2 tickets for each external link leading to Roblox they created was clicked.
- Place visits: Users earned 1 tix for each visit. If the place was Builder’s Club only, each visit would give 10 tickets to the owner.
- RoblEX Exchange: You could exchange Robux for tickets. The value varied based on the state of the market. (Tix’s value changed)
- Selling clothing: Users could earn tickets by making and selling clothing. Non-BC users earned 10% of the price of their clothing and 90% if they had BC.
What could you do with TIX?
Tix could be spent on Catalog items and on ads. They were mainly used to buy things from the catalog. You were able to convert Tix into Robux with the “RoblEX” system, and vice-versa. The value of 1 Tix was less than one robux.
RoblEX
RoblEX, known as the Currency Exchange, was a feature that allowed users to trade their Tickets for ROBUX and vice versa. The price of Tickets and Robux changed through supply and demand. Users could earn a BIG amount of profit by buying a large amount of Robux for a lower price, then exchange them later for a larger sum of Tickets.
Along with Tickets, RoblEX was removed on April 14, 2016.
Bye, Tix…
On April 14, 2016, Tix was removed from Roblox and people with Tix were refunded with the equivalent amount of robux. If you want to read David Baszucki’s letter talking about the goodbye of Tix, read it here.
30 days before eliminating Tix forever, they released some objects to people to buy which they would keep forever, as a form of saying goodbye to tix. This is the poster with the items that were sold.
After…
After many years, many objects that were cheap at the tix era are now the most expensive items. I wish I was in that era…
I hope you enjoyed my post!!
