Introduction :wave:

TLDR: I would like to announce that unfortunately after 4 years we will be shutting down our beloved forums and moving over to Discord.

But why!?!? :thinking:

We are doing this as sustaining and developing a community is a much better way of doing this:

  • People will always be on Discord, but they won’t always necessarily be on the forums.

  • Discord has better notification support for us.

  • Discord has a wider audience, sometimes people will not be bothered to sign up to the forums.

Celebrating the forums

Although we will be closing the forums, there is a lot we’ve achieved through our community:

2.6k All time topics
41.8k Posts
1.3k Sign Ups

And much more we will be celebrating at a later date!

What now?

We will keep the forums active until at least 2025, however we may disable features such as sign ups, posting etc.

If you have data you would like to download please head to your preferences, then account and downlod your data:

one last question, will the forums still be read-only? people will be able to read and open older posts correct?

Who knows what the future holds! We all can’t wait to see how Cookie Tech develops over the next few years.

I’m sure you have had an amazing time on the forums over the last 4 years, and that’s something to be proud of!

Of course, we will miss you, but at the same time you’ll still be here!

It has been a massive privilege to serve as an active moderator here on Cookie Tech (as well as being one of the most active users of all-time over the course of four-years) … and I can’t wait to continue this on the Cookie Tech Discord server! :cookie:
